These terms cover your use of asprinedits.com and any editing work I take on. I'm a freelance video editor operating as Asprinedits ("I", "me"). By using this site or hiring me, you agree to what's below.
01 What I do
I provide freelance video editing — shortform and longform — along with related work like motion graphics and sound design where agreed.
The exact scope, price, and timeline of any project is agreed in writing before I start, usually by email or DM. Nothing on this website is a binding offer or a fixed quote.
02 Using this site
You're welcome to browse. Please don't scrape it, copy its design or code, misrepresent it as your own, or use it for anything unlawful.
03 Ownership of work
My site and portfolio
The design, code, text, and layout of this website are mine. The videos shown belong to the creators who commissioned them and are displayed with their permission or as public work I edited.
Your finished video
Once you've paid in full, the final edited video is yours to use however you like. Until then, I retain ownership of all files and deliverables.
My project files
Project files, timelines, presets, templates, and source assets I create stay mine unless we agree otherwise in writing. If you want those handed over, ask before the project starts — it's usually possible for an additional fee.
Portfolio rights
I keep the right to show completed work in my portfolio, on social media, and in pitches to other clients. If your project is confidential or embargoed, tell me before we begin and I'll respect that.
04 Footage and assets you send me
When you send me footage, audio, music, images, or anything else, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you allow me to use it for the purpose of editing your project.
You're responsible for clearing music, stock footage, fonts, and anyone's likeness that appears in your video. I'm not liable for copyright strikes, takedowns, or claims arising from material you provided.
05 Payment
- Unless agreed otherwise, I take a 50% deposit before starting. It reserves your slot in my schedule.
- Deposits are non-refundable once I've begun work.
- The remaining balance is due on delivery of the final files.
- Prices are quoted per project unless we've agreed a retainer or per-video rate.
- If payment is more than 14 days late, I may pause work and hold delivery until the account is settled.
06 Revisions
Each project includes a specific number of revision rounds, agreed in writing before I start. A round means one consolidated set of notes, not an ongoing back-and-forth.
Changes beyond that, or requests that meaningfully change the direction after work has begun, may be billed at my standard rate and may push the deadline.
07 Timelines
I'll give you a delivery estimate before starting and I take it seriously.
Timelines assume you get me the footage, notes, and approvals when needed. If feedback is slow or assets arrive late, the deadline moves accordingly. I'm not responsible for delays caused by waiting on you.
08 Cancellation
You can cancel any time. The deposit isn't refundable, and any work completed beyond the deposit is billable at my standard rate.
I may decline or step away from a project — for example if the material is unlawful, abusive, or misrepresented. If I do that for reasons unrelated to your conduct, I'll refund anything you've paid for work I haven't done.
09 Confidentiality
If you tell me something is confidential — an unreleased video, a sponsor, a launch date — I'll keep it that way and won't post it until it's public or you say it's fine.
10 No guaranteed results
I edit for retention and I'm good at it. But view counts depend on your audience, your topic, the algorithm, and timing — things nobody controls.
Any figures on this site describe past work. They are not a promise of future performance, and I don't guarantee any specific number of views, subscribers, or revenue.
11 Liability
This site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue, lost followers, or lost opportunities.
Where I am liable, my total liability is limited to the amount you paid me for the project in question.
12 Changes
I may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the site or hire me means you accept the version in place at that time.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
